Dear Member,

As the Club Chairman I would like to welcome you to Velo Club Lincoln and thank you for joining us for 2024. We hope you will enjoy this year in cycling within our community and that the club can support you in achieving your cycling goals from becoming more confident in cycling to competing in races! This welcome pack will provide you with everything you need to know about how to join in with our club coaching and events this year and beyond!

Our club was established in 1965 and has enjoyed a successful history participating in and promoting cycle racing for all ages and abilities. In the past we have achieved great success gaining numerous podium places whilst producing regional and national champions. The gold star on our emblem shows we are particularly proud to have produced a World Champion - Stuart Marshall, who in 1986 became the Junior World Cyclo-Cross Champion. More recently, Georgette Rand won 2 gold medals and a bronze as part of the British Cycling Sprint team in the 2023 Junior European Championships.

The Club offers a platform of events, coaching evenings and assistance to help our riders get the most out of their cycling experiences, we cover many of the cycling disciplines for all ages and abilities. Wednesday is our main club evening at Yarborough Sports Centre and all members are most welcome to participate.

The activities which the club promotes are only possible through the generosity of our sponsors’ funding. Please see our club webpage for sponsor’s club discount opportunities. The club does require that you purchase and wear the current sponsored cycling kit following a period of three months with the club. This kit is also compulsory to wear if you compete in any cycle event.
